Kata & Kumite following WKF regulations. ## About The Kobushi Cup is Miami's premier open karate tournament, running for 34+ years. It hosts 325+ competitors across 6 rings, with 30+ referees and 30+ participating dojos from across Florida and beyond. Kata only (Kihon Kata). - Beginners — all ages, less than 1 year of practice. - Novice — all ages, 1–2 years of practice. - Intermediate — all ages. - Advanced — all ages. Must perform different kata in the final round. - Para Karate — all ages and categories. - Kobudo — Kata only; one division per age group (under 11 / 12–17 / 18+). ## Schedule (Staging Times) - 8:00 AM — First Timers (Kata & Kumite, 4–9 y/o) and Kobudo (all ages) - 9:00 AM — Beginners (Kata & Kumite, 4–11 y/o) - 10:30 AM — Novice (Kata & Kumite, 4–11 y/o) - 12:00 PM — Intermediate (7–11 y/o), Advanced (8–11 y/o), Para Karate (all ages) - 1:00 PM — Beginners and Novice (12–35+ y/o) - 2:00 PM — Intermediate and Advanced (12–35+ y/o) ## Registration Fees - **$135** — All-in: Kata + Kumite + Kobudo - **$100** — One discipline: Kata, or Kumite, or Kobudo - **$100** — Kata & Kumite special offer (Kobudo not included) - **$10** — Spectator entrance (paid at the door) ## Rules Summary **Kata:** Follows WKF regulations. Each division has an approved list of Katas. First Timers through Intermediate may repeat the same kata each round.
